Join us at Asilomar, located on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, just 120 miles south of San Francisco.
This spectacular state park, with its historic buildings designed by Julia Morgan, 107 acres of woodlands, sand dunes, and ocean beach is an ideal setting for a magical weekend of Scottish country dancing.

The excellent facilities of Emmanuel College Gateshead were the venue for the 34th Newcastle Festival of Scottish Country Dancing that was held on February 9th 2019.
There were social dances for everyone at the start and finish of the Festival and between each class (except classes 3 and 4).
The 35th edition of the Newcastle Festival will take place in early 2020 and we encourage you to visit their website for more details when they become available.
The organising committee of the White Rose Festival of Scottish Country Dancing would like to invite you and your team of dancers to take part in the 2019 Festival.
The 2018 Festival was held on Saturday, July 14th and the 2019 Festival will be held on the 13th July. We are very pleased to have Marian Anderson and her band for both of these Festivals. Further information will be published on the official website as it become available!
Teachers' Association (Canada), better known as TAC, hosts a Scottish Country Dance summer school annually at a venue in Canada or the USA.
TAC Summer School is open to all Scottish Country Dancers from basic to advanced and from beginner to experienced. One need not be a TAC member to register.
Each July, the RSCDS Boston Branch sponsors three sessions at Pinewoods: a 4-day session for English, Scottish and Contra dancing (co-sponsored with CDS Boston Centre), and weekend and week-long Scottish sessions.
All three sessions offer live music and dancing from morning 'til night, with classes for beginning, intermediate, and advanced dancers.
We would like to especially encourage young dancers (18+), new dancers, and Pinewoods first-timers to apply.
The RSCDS New Zealand Branch extends a warm invitation for all dancers to attend the Summer School to be held from 28 December 2018 to 5 January 2019 in Nelson.
Nelson is a city on the South Island of New Zealand, facing Tasman Bay. It's known for local arts and crafts stores, and art galleries. It's also a popular base for nearby vineyards and the Abel Tasman National Park. Established by English settlers in 1841, the city's history is showcased at Founders Heritage Park, a living museum with a vintage railway.
The 2018 Australian Winter School was based in the Port Stephens area and was hosted by the Hunter Valley Branch. The 2019 edition will be held in Melbourne, with details coming shortly.
Global Youth Week (worldwide)
The rationale behind Global Youth Week is to explore opportunities and to share ideas and experiences to encourage more young people to take up Scottish country dance and music.
