Oakville Scottish Country Dance Group

Group profile

The Oakville Scottish Country Dance Group was founded in 1956 and is a highly social group of about 50 dancers that meet Tuesday evenings from 7:30-9:30 in the Queen Elizabeth Park Community Centre. We have a Social Group for more experienced dancers and also a class for newer dancers. We follow up each evening's dancing with a pub/tea hosted by one of our members. We welcome visitors from other clubs who find themselves in our area on a Tuesday night. We do demonstrations at seniors homes and for the Town of Oakville Culture Days festival in October and we annually host a Robbie Burns dinner and dance in January and a Spring Dance in May. Contact us at oscdg@hotmail.ca and visit our web site at http://www.oscdg.ca/index.html
