Here in Leicester we run 2 weekly classes at St. Stephen’s URC in New Walk Leicester. On a Tuesday at 1.30 pm. until 3.30 pm. with beginners coming in at one o’clock at present. Then on Thursday evenings from 7.30 pm. until 10.00 pm. Both classes are general with warm up, step and or formation practice and various dances with a break for tea. The Tuesday class is continuous with the same format after tea, but on Thursdays after tea we have a social dance. We have 9 certificated RSCDS teachers who take it in turns to teach 2 at a time. There are 5 terms each followed by a fully social evening. Classes run from September until June continuously. We have 5 Summer classes through July to August. During the year we run an Annual Ball in November and 5 Saturday socials usually with live music in February- this is a Charity dances, then in April, August, October and December – this is a Christmas event.

We have annual members and 5 Life. Our Committee meets every 2 months and our teachers meet before each of the 5 teaching sessions. Last year we celebrated our 40th Branch anniversary.
