Branch profile
Primary school children's classes run from August through to May and are held in local schools or church halls. Medal tests and the DAA are a regular feature and classes also take part in the annual Scottish Country Dance festival. We have also have two classes for secondary school pupils.
Adult classes run from September through to March. These classes range from Introductory through Improvers and General to Very Advanced. Two of these classes take place in the afternoon, an Introductory and a General class.
A ceilidh class is run on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month throughout the year.
Throughout the summer months there are Summer Socials which take place every Wednesday from the beginning of May to the end of August.
Live musicians play for some of our classes and for our Summer Socials. Musicians from outside Aberdeen as well as our own local musicians play at these socials.
Dances are held twice a year - in Spring (2nd Friday in March) and Christmas (2nd Friday in December).
