RSCDS Office Manager
March 13, 2019
We are sorry to announce that Sylvia Jenkins has left her post as Office Manager after only a few days in the job. Despite the thorough recruitment process, she felt the role was not for her and it was best to leave at the earliest opportunity. We wish Sylvia well for the future. The RSCDS Board is meeting on Saturday 16 March and will consider what lessons should be learnt from this and the steps we now need to take.
This is bad news for the office and puts added pressure on our staff. Please be patient if your queries cannot be answered as quickly as we would like. It is not, however, a crisis. The work of the RSCDS goes on. We have launched the new website, Winter School was very successful, Spring Fringe and Spring Fling are fully booked, the next issue of the magazine is on schedule, the financial outturn for the year looks OK and staff and volunteers are working hard to ensure Summer School is as enjoyable as ever. Above all the classes and dances run by branches and members all over the world continue, and thousands of people enjoy Scottish country dancing every week.
Thank you to everyone who contributes in whatever capacity to the RSCDS. We will keep you posted about the staffing situation at 12 Coates Crescent.
- Andrew Kellett, Chairman of the RSCDS
